Chorus
There may be a billion or two others,
That I could choose to view,
But the brightest star so solo,
When I looked a bit closer, was you.
All the others stars hid behind rain clouds
Zooming into the blue,
To ask ya’ out may have been a shot in the dark,
But like a meteorite,
Your golden rays shone through.
You alone are the brightest star,
You’re the one I see from afar,
Solo – you are my North star,
My guiding light, glistening isobar.
Didn’t need a telescopic lens, to see you alright,
To view you solo star, shining bright,
Didn’t even need a rocket flight,
I could see your light all night.
Chorus
From the ground, all I could see,
Was you solo in the universe, beaming down on me,
When I looked, for a guide,
In the cosmos, burning like a candle,
We sped off on a satellite ride,
To make you my bride was easy to decide.
Chorus
