Saint Bernard once made a famous sermon, in which he said, “Qui me amat, et canem meum”, which means “Whoever loves me, loves my dog”. Well, since that time, Saint Bernard has been known as one who brings rescue to the needy … are you ready ?
Chorus
Qui me amat ?
To the man who rescues me,
Qui me amat ?
That’s what that is, for you and me,
Qui me amat ?
Love is all that it can be.
When life gets to be oh ! so hard,
Darlin’, be my Saint Bernard.
Who loves me, I really don’t know,
Been looking so long, now,
My heartache’s beginning to show.
Chorus
Met so many men,
Some of them friendly,
Some not so nice, now and then.
Chorus
Even looked around the world once or twice,
Finding love’s like a game of dice,
It’s just like a game of cat and mice.
Chorus
Why a man should love you instead of me,
Need a telescope, to look for a mermaid in a sea,
I guess if I look hard enough, eventually, I’ll find true love.
