Each Of Us Speechless

Started with a chat, in the small hours, till we croaked as we choked,

About where was the middle of the bed and where were found the best flowers,

We talked of me and holiday teas, we reminisced of days sailing on the Seas,

Even whether the milk was plenty creamy, we still spent days, rich and dreamy,

Laughed and giggled, about your day as a clerk,

Then, as you stroked my cheek, suddenly, there was a spark.

Chorus

Leaving each of us speechless, finding it hard to find what to say,

Silently fumbling in darkness, but we made love anyway, … all day,

It wasn’t at all a shot in the dark, the arrow shot straight through my heart,

It’s still there, stuck in bark, to stop me from falling apart,

A reminder of our walk in the park,

The moment, when I fell apart, falling in love, hopin’ never to depart.

Introduced each other to separate friends,

Bringing people together, from opposite ends,

Now there’s only torn Valentines’ that no – one sends,

Around life’s bends, my embrace travels to the universe’s ends,

My heart stops – loving best wishes, a butterfly’s flight suspends.

Borrow the moment, till tomorrow; hope it lasts, until tomorrow.

Once my kiss has arrived  I’m relieved,

Ask if your promises are believed,

Forgotten memories, are retrieved,

A chant on the bus, something special just between the two of us,

Though each of us are speechless, we fall in love quickly, thus,

Our whispers become a loving chorus.

Movin’ two inches closer to you,

Hoping that I’m speechless and the message’s getting through,

No words, in the glint of your eye, each of us speechless, in a teardrop cry,.

Cut the love’s just as true between you and I, you sigh,

Sealed with a stamp, my kiss on the envelope,

Travels around the world, like a message from the Pope …

I’m in Heaven and not at all out of place,

As you take me zooming, off into Outer Space… (repeat to fade)
