Kitchen Love

When we first met, you took me for a meal,

Now, our love has become much more real,

Our love happens over the kitchen sink,

That’s what causes the plates to crash, I think.

You’re cookin’ up kitchen love,

Temperature risin’ above the stove.

Whenever the water boils,

The pots rattle and the dinner spoils,

It’s usually our arguing that has caused this rift,

That sends our romance, completely adrift.

Now rather than sweet surprises,

The temperature rises.

Instead of you gazin’ into my eyes,

The chip pan fries – are you tellin’ me lies ?

Stirred, our soup begins to mix,

My heart’s so broken,

Will it ever fix ?

Everythin’ be alright, once you perform your kitchen tricks.

Love in the kitchen cupboards, too,

With tins of peas and canned stew.

Love in the refridgerator,

I simmered at first, now my love steams greater

Kitchen love, I couldn’t want for more,

Even make love on the kitchen floor (repeat to fade).
