Peace In Our Time

Peace in our time,

Is time for a rhyme,

Given time,

The peace will climb,

Worth a million dollars and a dime.

My time is best in the early morn,

When I read the newspaper alone at dawn,

My time is when I am in the shower,

Thinkin’ of peace hour by hour,

Just a moment’s peace is all I ask,

So I can rest from my lifetime task.

Your time is for you alone,

The time when you like to be on your own,

It’s amazing how time has flown,

Hopefully, the peace will be grown,

And no more bombs thrown.

“You” time, “me” time doesn’t last long,

But “our” time is much more strong,

Our time is when we really belong,

When we hide away together from the crowding throng.

There’s peace in that time, “our” time rolls along.

Peace in our time, let there be peace, peace be with you, and also

you, too …

Peace has no greater worth, than when there is peace on Earth

repeat to fade).
