Honeymoon All Afternoon

Spent lunch in a cafe,

Chatting whilst we were drinkin’ coffee,

Took a stroll down the promenade,

Then, in the hotel room, all afternoon, what great love we

made.

Chorus

It really was a honeymoon all afternoon,

Hope we can get together again real soon,

That’s the purpose of my tune,

To tell the whole world about our June.

Around about three, we stopped by a tree,

You made me as happy as a guy can possibly be,

Never enjoyed our holiday in the Sun quite so freely,

Your beauty glistened with ease, not deliberately.

Chorus

By four, when the conversation became a bore,

Decided we’d play music some more,

Met with our friends, bu the superstore,

Whilst we bought some fruit for a picnic, “I love you”, you

swore.

Chorus

At five, began to jive,

By seven, we still hadn’t stopped,

Even as the tomatoes for dinner, we chopped,

Nothing, about our break away flopped.

Chorus

Being groovy, we watched a movie,

Then caressed beneath the duvet,

These were the kinda evenings that memories are made of,

Simply the days that we cannot get enough of.

Chorus … (repeat to fade).
