Phonograph Photograph

When I hung a photograph on that nail,

I hardly expected that it would tell a tale,

I talk to it regularly,

Laugh about the old times, reminiscently.

When I am on my own,

The picture of you is lookin’ down,

It reminds me of the times we spent together,

Happy memories, of summer weather.

The picture of you,

That I keep on the wall,

Speaks volumes, through rooms,

Shouts at me from the hall.

Your picture seems to talk to me,

With a twinkle in ya’ eyes that communicate really clearly.

If I am quiet, I can almost hear it sing, that photograph,

It giggles, just like you laugh, in phonograph.

The photograph laughs and sometimes cries,

Seems to look lost, if there are only goodbyes,

It’s amazing, how ya’ cinematography,

Appears to be somehow smiling at me, reassuringly.

If one time, I ever forget your name,

I’ll inscribe it on the photo in that frame,

Ya’ beauty is encapsulated, there, in an image,

Casting it’s blessings, from the photo’s visage.
