Midas Touch

A midas touch,

Brings a star to my day.

When everything seems too much,

A touch of gold comes my way.

A gentle touch,

That lightens the dark,

Not a fist or a clutch,

But a golden spark.

Glorious in splendour, oh so nice,

The jackpot at a lucky roll of a dice.

Shining bright as the Sun in paradise.

Darlin’, if ya’ looking for a touch of Midas, your’s would be

one, once or twice.

A coin belonging to a money – lender,

The dazzling purse of a big spender,

A diamond, a jewel, that glows after sunset,

A rainbow that illuminates the wet.

Just like the glisten in your eye,

Or a raindrop, falling from the sky,

When you smile, the world has a Midas touch,

To bring a fortune, like a lepricaun, as such.
