Building Bridges With Bread & Honey

Sometimes, honey, when there are rapids to cross,

I figure that it’s easier, building bridges between the two of us,

Those times, honey, when I’m crawling over rocks,

It’s your love, care and affection, that gives me the building

blocks.

When the planks of wood on my bridge, are splintered and

worn,

You help me piece then together, so I’m not so forlorn.

With bread and honey, glue instead of nails,

We build bridges when we’re lost, along the dusty trails.

Chorus

You can call it your song,

To help you along, (if you want),

You can sing it strong,

To help you belong, (if you need a new slant on your chant).

With bread and honey, as our cement,

Now there are no more cracks in the pavement.

Happier times, came and went,

Bread and honey days were happily spent.

When you’re down, and things don’t seem that funny,

Just build bridges with bread and honey.

That’s what makin’ my heart a flutter,

A little bit of your bread and honey, on your lovin’ bread and

butter.

Chorus
