Dolally Sally

Sally, ya’ make my heart go dolally,

You enchant me with your ballet,

A wish you grant me, sweetheart Sally,

Formally and informally, sendin’ me dolally !

Rings on her fingers and bells on her toes,

Murmuring mysterious music, mystique wherever she goes …

Whether she’s performing, or just humming in the bath,

Carried by the rythmn, I end up swinging along the path,

Sally’s music lifts my spirit, so light and breezy,

To her harmony, loving is easy.

Might just be singing, while she’s cooking a meal,

But to Sally’s sweet melody, my heart’s warm, I feel,

Only taking a cool, afternoon shower, unaccompanied,

But a maestro’s in the room, hour after hour, that’s what her

music did.

Dolally Sally, you’re a virtuoso,

Whether notes are high or low, played fast of slow,

A minstrel whose music makes everything go,

It’s euphony you reap if you reap what you sow.

Chorus (repeat to fade)
