Chorus

Strange how people love super – naturally,

Like I love you, eternally.

Passion rekindled,

And reswindled.

Tonight, I went out with an old flame,

Just like ol’ times, I was the one to blame,

Only wanted things to be the same,

But she played her ol’, romantic game.

Chorus

The girl’s just like an eternal flame,

Goddam love that gal, though she’s hard to tame,

Though I don’t remember her name,

Never any shame (she’s as warm as an eternal flame.

Chorus

Honey, I hope our love’ll live forever

Just like a perennial flower, lovin’ hour after hour,

Forget me not nor never, building bonds that never sever,

Lifting me up, like a lever.

Chorus

Just like an eternal flame, I’m hopin’ ya’ love never goes,

Hope to find true happiness,

And don’t mind one bit if it shows,

Just like an eternal flame, it glows and glows.

Chorus

Need to laugh in every day,

A smile – like an aura, that never goes away,

Which clearly lights the way,

To keep all shadows, rainclouds and ghosts at bay.
